Discussions centred around the upcoming election for the BJP’s National President. According to party sources, the announcement regarding the election could be made within a week.

An important meeting of top BJP leadership was held on Wednesday in Delhi regarding the party’s organisational elections, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s residence, was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP’s National General Secretary (Organisation), BL Santosh.

Discussions centred around the upcoming election for the BJP’s National President. According to party sources, the announcement regarding the election could be made within a week.

In addition to deliberating on the national leadership, the meeting also focused on organisational changes at the state level.

Sources said that the names of new state BJP presidents for states like Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh were discussed. The party may announce around half a dozen state unit presidents in the next two to three days.

The organisational reshuffle is expected to have a significant impact on the BJP’s electoral strategy ahead of upcoming polls.

“The election process for choosing the BJP’s national president could begin any time after April 20,” the party sources said.

The election for the National President was supposed to take place in January. However, with April halfway through, it remains pending.

Party insiders believe that the delay is due to the careful selection of a leader who can further strengthen the organisation.

JP Nadda, who has been serving as the BJP National President since January 2020, had his term extended beyond the three-year limit to ensure a smooth transition and proper preparation for the next leadership phase.

According to the BJP constitution, the term of the National President is generally three years, elected through consensus within the party.

The name change came a day after Elon Musk revealed X would now integrate artificial intelligence to enhance user experien.

Musk tagged Gork, a parody account of his AI chatbot Grok, and wrote, “Sup @gork changed my pp (profile picture) to urs wdyt (what do you think).”

“Looks good i guess but did u have to copy my whole face like that smh,” the account responded.

Social media users believe the changed name was a blend of Grok and Rust. While “Grok” is the AI chatbot created by Musk’s AI startup xAI, “Rust” most likely refers to the Rust programming language, apparently a part of the company’s technical infrastructure.

Some even related his changed name to a meme coin, GORK, which is on the Solana blockchain. These are decentralised exchanges (DEXs) where people can trade cryptocurrencies without needing a central authority like a bank or a big company. They can be sold online on trading platforms like Raydium, Meteora and PumpSwap.

As soon as Musk changed his name to Gorklon Rust, the prices of GORK shot up almost 100 per cent in 24 hours. Earlier, it traded at Rs 2.62, and now the price is approximately Rs 5.24.

The name change came a day after Musk revealed that X would now integrate artificial intelligence to enhance user experience. He wrote, “The X recommendation algorithm is being replaced with a lightweight version of Grok, so it will soon be dramatically better. You should notice some improvement already,” he added.

This was not the first time Elon Musk changed his name on X. Earlier in December, he adopted the name Kekius Maximus, and in February, he changed it to Harry Bolz.

Last week, Musk announced he would be stepping back from his role in the Donald Trump administration but assured the Americans that his brainchild, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), would continue to work even in his absence. Asked who would lead the department now, Musk said it could very well function on its own, much like Buddhism thrived even without Buddha.

The cat that follows wears a boxy gown made of khaman and is nicknamed “Khaman Core.” The next cat also wears a gown, and this one is composed of several vada pavs stacked on top of each other. Swiggy called it “Chic Vada.”

There was also a cat with a ‘sweet’ sense of style. Embracing a “Jalebi aesthetic,” this feline’s dress had an abundance of orangish coils and swirls, reminiscent of those of the beloved Indian sweet. The final outfit was literally cheesy – “Pizza Poppins” featured a gown of pizza slices that made our mouths water.
